"Lake Conestee Nature Park is rated by many experienced birders as one of the best birding sites in the Upstate of South Carolina. It is featured as a South Carolina's premire birding hot-spot on e-bird and on the Carolina Bird Club and Greenville County Bird Club websites."

The park is Located in South Greenville County off of Augusta Road where the parking area is located on Henderson Ave in the city of Mauldin, South Carolina. The park is owned by Greenville County Recreation Department. There are several trails in the park that cover many different ecosytems such as the boardwalks in the wetland areas. Representitives of the park ask that you stay on the trail for your own safty. There are toxisions in the wetland soil that are harmful to your health; please stay on the trail for your own safty. Lake Conestee is a lake that is going through what envirnomentalist call "Euthication" where the lake is dying and drying up through sediment acumalating at the bottom of the lake.
