Location: "On the Tennessee River (Chickamauga Lake) at river mile 499 (border of the counties of Hamilton, Rhea, and Meigs)"

Weather: highs in the mid 60's in the winter, highs in the mid 80's in the summer.

This hotspot host several rare birds that include the Bald Eagle, the Sandhill Crane, and the Whooping Crane. There are trails in the park, but they are closed when the Sandhill Cranes are migrating in the area. Several of the Bald Eagles that nest on the Tennessee River were released by Dollywood's "American Eagle Foundation."
