Jones Gap and Ceasar's Head State Park : Part of Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area Mountainist Terrain where the Saluda River flows through the gap, Cool and in the mid 60's in the Summer. The trails are strenuous and most of them are up hill. There is a two dollars to enter the state park. The Middle and South Saluda Rivers Runs from Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area to Columbia, SC, and fills into the Congaree River. The state park has one of the most scenic hiking trails in the southeast. There is fishing in the state park, but only catch and release with artifical lures allowed, and flys, plus catch and release only. This is a natural wild river where only native Brook Trout are found in the river. The days that you are allowed to fish are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday only. Camping is allowed but you must obtain a permit, and anyone hiking the trails are asked to fill out an information sheet for referance that you are on the trail. The yellow slip will be turned in after returning to the trail head. Remember to time yourself because the park rangers asked that you return 45-30 minutes before the gates close.
